JEWELRY CARE
Réveli jewelry is made in 925 sterling silver. Silver requires special care to preserve its appearance and to last longer. Sterling silver tarnishes when exposed to salty air, chlorine, sulfur, humidity, perspiration, cosmetics, household bleach and other strong chemicals. To keep your jewelry at its shiny best, keep it away from excessive exposure to air. We recommend to store Réveli jewelry in its separate box to prevent from scratches and in a clean, dry place avoiding sources of high temperature and direct sunlight.
It is optimal to avoid wearing your jewelry when engaging in following activities:
- Swimming in pools, seas, oceans, bathing in thermal or volcanic waters, taking a shower amd washning your hands
- Doing household activities, gardening, preparing meals or washing dishes
- Using fragrances, applying hair and body products as well as other cosmetics and lotion
- Doing exercising at the gym or at home as wells as during contact sports
- Sleeping to avoid accidental damage
The art of metal enameling traces its roots back to ancient times, preserving its essence throughout history. Derived from the Germanic word 'smaltjan,' meaning to fuse, this technique involves applying colored vitreous enamels to precious metal surfaces. One of the most extraordinary decorative techniques in the history of goldsmithing, enameling offers a rich array of possibilities with infinite combinations of designs and colors. However, it is important to note that enameled jewelry, being inflexible, should not be bent.It is sensitive to strong impact and falls on hard materials therefore it is not recommended to wear them in the gym or during sports activities.
HOW TO CLEAN SILVER.
Please keep in mind that silver cannot be cleaned with household cleaning products. We suggest to rinse the jewelry with warm water and then gently rub the jewels with a silver polishing cloth several times. This will remove oxidation and restore brightness.
We use plating in our jewelry, which provides brilliance and preserves longer durability. Kindly note that the plating is bound to wear out over time and therefore to fade, it does not depend on the quality of the materials.
To clean the enamel it is sufficient to remove any fingerprints or stains with a slightly damp cloth, avoiding aggressive or acid products that could compromise the brilliance.
